Website and booking terms.

This website may be used to learn about Tico Viajero Expresso and prepare a preliminary travel enquiry. Information entered in “Plan your trip” is used to prepare a proposal, but submitting the form alone does not create a booking or payment obligation.

The traveler is responsible for providing correct and up-to-date information during planning and booking, including names, contact details, dates, flight information and any other information needed to coordinate the services. Any relevant change should be communicated to Tico Viajero Expresso as soon as it becomes known.

No deposit or advance payment is required to confirm the booking.

The booking is considered officially confirmed when the traveler sends the passport copies needed to make the corresponding reservations.

The payment methods currently accepted are bank transfer and cash. The amount, currency, due date and instructions applicable to each payment will be those stated in the corresponding proposal or confirmation.

If cancellation takes place 25 days or more before arrival, 100% of the amount paid is refunded. Between 24 and 11 days before arrival, 90% of the amount paid is refunded. If there are 10 days or fewer before arrival, the penalty is 100% of the amount paid for the cancelled booking or service.

Date changes are allowed after a booking has been confirmed as long as the hotels, tours and other services involved have availability. Any difference in availability, price or conditions will be communicated before the change is confirmed.

If the traveler does not attend a tour or arrives late for the agreed pickup time and loses the service, the amount paid for that service is also lost.

When a service depends on the arrival of a flight, the traveler must provide correct and up-to-date flight information and communicate any known change. In the event of a delay, Tico Viajero Expresso will make reasonable efforts to adjust service coordination where operationally possible. If the delay requires rescheduling, a substantial modification or an additional service, any applicable condition or cost will be communicated before it is confirmed.

When necessary because of weather, closures, safety, force majeure or other circumstances affecting operations, Tico Viajero Expresso may change schedules, hotels or the places to be visited. Where possible, changes and available alternatives will be communicated.

Any price, itinerary, inclusion, accommodation, activity or third-party service must be understood according to the specific proposal or confirmation issued for the trip. Availability may depend on external providers, and any particular conditions communicated for each service form part of the relevant proposal.

Use of the website is also subject to the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Specific tourism services are subject to these terms and any particular details communicated and accepted for the relevant proposal.

These terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
